Historic Columbia Foundation would like to extend an invitation to you or your company to participate as a vendor in the 30th Annual Jubilee Festival scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2008, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The festival is open to food, marketplace, and non-profit vendors or exhibitors. Jubilee will feature activities at the Mann-Simons Cottage, 1403 Richland Street and the Modjeska Simkins House, 2025 Marion Street in downtown Columbia’s historic district. Visitors can stroll the entire block of Marion Street to experience a variety of cultural activities, demonstration artists, entertainment, historic house tours and children’s activities. More than 1,000 visitors attend the award-winning festival that celebrates the life of Celia Mann, one of South Carolina’s most celebrated free black women. As one of the longest-running African-American festivals in the Southeast, Jubilee has become a mainstay in Columbia’s cultural community. This event is free to the public. Early registration (prior to June 30) is encouraged for discount vendor fees. Final deadline for registration is August 15. We look forward to your participation in order to make this year’s Jubilee: Festival of Heritage a success. If you have any questions, please call 803.252.1770, ext. 31 or for more information, visit www.HistoricColumbiaFoundation.org
Sincerely,
Sierra Holland
